Why Organic Wine? | Print |  E-mail
As I laid there in my chemically filled non-organic wine induced headache coma I got to thinking. Why is organic wine all the rage in some areas? Consumption of organic wine is growing more rapidly than consumption of non-organic wine. Not to mention French organic wines are always being recognized in the rankings. I had to find out why.

Organic wine is made with organic grapes and excludes the use of added sulfites and artificial chemicals. Sulfites are what cause headaches for certain people, such as myself. Drinking organic wine would eliminate these miserable mornings. But does it taste good?

These organic farms usually do not use large machinery so the grapes are hand picked, causing only the ripest and healthiest grapes to be selected. So if the wine is being made with the healthiest grapes and no artificial chemicals, then rest assured a good wine is produced. With that settled, is it budget friendly?

Whether at the local liquor store or online, organic wines are plentiful. They are very reasonably priced and well worth not having a headache the next day.

Making the switch to organic wines not only supports organic farming, but also supports one’s own health.
